As part of the GAL ANS commitment to our Regional Centre of Excellence membership, the Training Centre presented at the ICAO Course developers and instructors standardisation meeting, held in Tunisia in December. Course Developer, Jenny Drayton, presented on the subject Aviation Training Intelligence. Aviation intelligence is the ability of training centres to use technology to achieve tasks which range from gathering and analysing data (sources such as CAA, workplaces, records, post-training evaluation) to blended learning through online training and new technology in the classroom. As aviation systems become more technologically advanced and complex, training centres must adapt their training to meet the needs of the workplace and the next generation of learners. Essentially the world is changing rapidly and the training we conduct in the future will not look like the classrooms of today.
