GANS has implemented state-of-the-art RNP-AR procedures that utilise satellite navigation technology on board suitably equipped aircraft to enable them to fly shorter approach paths to an international airport within the Middle East. The RNP-AR procedures result in a decrease in track miles, continuous descent approach, and a corresponding reduction in fuel burn, thereby reducing cost and lowering emissions.
